The Regional Port Authority has awarded Partners in Economic Development funding to support outdoor recreation tourism and economic vitality in the Entiat Valley.
TREAD received $19,000 in funding for the Lake Creek Campground Yurt Project, which will support the construction of year-round overnight lodging at the U.S. Forest Service campground near Entiat. The project is designed to expand recreation tourism opportunities, increase visitation, and support local economic activity throughout the region.
The yurts will be available for reservation through recreation.gov and are being developed through a collaborative partnership between TREAD, the U.S. Forest Service, Discover Entiat Valley, WA, and the City of Entiat.
The Partners in Economic Development Program supports projects that contribute to the economic vitality of Chelan and Douglas counties. Thank you Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority for supporting this project!
