shared vision & Priorities

Committed to collective impact.

We work with over 50+ ex officio partners to drive outdoor recreation initiatives in the region. Together we identified four collective impact categories of particular mutual interest.

We convene quarterly as a group to network and discuss project progress. Through these relationships, we are able to identify the intersections and needs of our partners and develop formal project-specific working relationships funded by grants, annual partnership dues, and in-kind contributions.

  • Coordinating with land managers and recreation organizations to provide efficiencies and avoid duplication of services.

  • To advocate for policies and changes that are inclusive, equitable, accessible, and culturally relevant for communities that face barriers in the outdoors.

  • Outdoor recreation in Chelan and Douglas Counties is a major economic driver in our communities. We will work with partners to enhance and protect sustainable outdoor recreation in Chelan and Douglas Counties.  This work can be done with a delicate balance of promoting outdoor recreation and protecting our public lands. Together we can educate users on how to recreate responsibly, sustainably, and keep money local.

I wish all communities...had a TREAD. They multiply the collective impact of their members... The work each of us does is hard – but TREAD makes it easier and faster and way more fun!
