2026 TREAD Trailblazer Community Awards Night Was a Success!

An incredible night celebrating an amazing group of community members.

The Trailblazer awards night was a wonderful evening honoring an incredible group of people, sharing stories, meeting new friends, and connecting with the community over a shared love for outdoor recreation.

We at TREAD are so proud to be able to bring people together and facilitate events like these. We can not wait to see where our partnerships and amazing organizations and community members take us next!

Trailblazing towards ZERO WASTE

This event was a big success— and not just because of the incredible people we celebrated.

With support from Sustainable NCW, the fully catered event for 120+ attendees generated ZERO garbage for the landfill.

The event diverted 4.8 Ibs of recyclables and 14.4 Ibs of compostables, with attendees doing a great job putting the right items in the right bins. That composting effort alone helped prevent an estimated 14 Ibs of greenhouse gas emissions.

A big thank you to Rick and Sustainable NCW, our caterer, and everyone who helped make this a practical example of community-powered stewardship. That's something worth celebrating!
