Save the Enchantments
Some places are more than places.
The Enchantments are one of those places. A landscape of granite peaks, alpine lakes, mountain goats, ancient forests, and wild waters that has inspired generations of people to explore, connect, and find something bigger than themselves. It is a place worth protectingβnot just for those who visit today, but for everyone who will come looking for that same sense of wonder tomorrow.
But the Enchantments are under growing pressure. Visitation has increased dramatically while the capacity to protect and manage this extraordinary landscape has not kept pace. Wildlife, water, trails, and the wilderness experience itself are at risk.
Save the Enchantments is a collaborative effort to change that. TREAD is bringing together scientists, conservationists, local communities, recreation partners, and the U.S. Forest Service to develop lasting solutions for stewardship, sustainable visitation, and protection. Our goal is simple: protect the Enchantments so they remain wild, healthy, and awe-inspiring for generations to come.
